Strange Problem In 8210 Display HELP!!

Hi All,

I recieved a strange problem in a 8210-given for repair yesterday .
The moment I try to enter into the phone book or the Profile menu the display goes blank.
The lcd is perfectly ok because I changed it with a new one and had the same problem..........

I've tried flashing it but with the same result.
Any ideas??
It behaves as if it cannot handle more than a certain amount of Pixels on the display.

the moment I press any key(1 to 0) more than 8 times .......the display goes blank.
I'm perfectly sure that the display and contacts are ok because it is a new set.

Waiting for a solution.

Regards,

themobileking

try to change display type

prefferably with contrast diodes fitted on it. If doesn't help, use display without diodes.

Hallo,
i have the same problem and we know it can be repaired by changing the lcd to the older type , but i want to ask if it can be repaired without changing lcd 'cause i think it is not so good and efficient to throw the new type lcd to trash - i have here about 50 pieces of them.
Thanks

Ianek
