Pony programmer hardware error help please


Please i need help to use my new pony programmer.it says bus busy or hardware error (-11) when i press on run device.please if any body is very good at using pony programmer please kindly guide me to install and use my programmer.thank you

It'll probably be the chip not correct in the programmer...

Also check the com port works properly...

Hello, you first have to configure it in Setup, Interface Setup if serial or lpt port and then calibrate with Calibration if you can upload an image of hardware could help you but ok

many possibilitys
laptop with no external power to ponyprog interface?
chip pinout maybe different from pony schematics

more info please , what eeprom type are you trying to read -some eeproms are pinout rotated like clarion microwire (93c46) needing different connections from ponyprog schematics
?

veryfy the ground from computer to stereo for read,and up or cut the pin 5 and 6 for read the series 24xx and probe this

ponyprog works great but a new user of a freshly built interface should start by eeprom removal from set to check interface/software are working correctly
-but yes cutting tracks to pin 5,6 would work on i2c but only if address pins 1,2,3 are to ground (are in most but not all radios)

too many possibilitys for errors for newbie trying to use pony for eeprom in circuit reading.

we are waiting for info from member about his interface
before we can help

But at the moment i don't have a eprom connected to the programmer,so how can i know if is in working status or not?
