As post states, i need to re-lock some a300's and change the start up logo. PLease help !

to which network ? i have s/w to do this, but you ned to open the handset and remove eeprom to do it.

Relock: Open phone,desolder 24c256 or use in circuit eeprom reader,read dump,change byte at addr. h0822 00 to 01 and write back dump to ic.Your phone will be relocked to the operator,what was locked to before unlocking.

If you have a Samsung box, you can flash it with a flash locked to some network and the same process results to change the startup logo. You just have to get the flash files...

ok the, thanks the person who i need to sort this out for has the jig box but has never used it, how do i go about getting the software and setting it up for them.

"22 02 01 00 20 80 10" this the sp bytes on A300 starting from adrress 0820 to 0826 the third byte is lock status if it's 01 it's locked if it's 00 then it's unlocked in the last three bytes is the provider which the phone is locked to.on this example it's locked to 208-01 you can edit these bytes to relock to other providers

flashing won't help relocking A300 series cause there is a physical eeprom in it .if it's emulated then you can perform a full flash and clone the phone

Hi there. I'm the guy trying to trying to change the startup message on the a300's. I can do it at the moment by writing a uk/sim free eeprom via the chip inside the phone.
I need to do this by a cable connection, and ideally without having to read the eeprom first.

Is there an address in the eeprom that I can write to directly and quickly to change a start up logo back to "GSM" without taking the phone apart and without changing the imei?

I have a samsung electronics sgh-1 100/m100 test jig (gh80-00161a) ... I have ponyprog2000 ... I have samsung toolbox for gsm engineers ver 4.0 ... And still I' getting no where (fast). I can't get the jig to work with anything ... or even the toolbox software to work with anything. The only thing that works is ponyprog... but as i said earlier I dont want to take the phones apart.

Can anyone help?

Hi

If you want to change start up logo you only change it in origine flash files and after that write to fone by turbo download (by cable). You can use Nokia PR1.01 to change image in flash file of samsung A 300 the same when you do it with nokia flash files. But in samsung no need to MCU check sum :-))).

Important think is you must know exactly address of start up logo and size of it. May be use Winarm to see and locate start up logo.
