Does anyone know if this driver works with the HP TC1100 internal bluetooth module? To be specific, does it work with the HP BT stereo headphone on TC1100? Thanks!!!

I have compiled an Excel file from the BTWUSB.INF for 4.0.1.2101 and 1.4.3.4 (my previous version) showing what's supported.

You could try add your BT module to the BTWUSB.INF and see if it helps. (Look at the example I have attached). But it was of no help to me (VID=1668 & PID=2441 on an IBM Thinkpad X40 with a CSR BT internal module III, Firmware rev. = 546, HCI = ver 1.1 rev 0222). I did not get the A2DP.

Someone else might have more knowledge if it is possible with some more changes.
v4.0.1.700 goes well with VID=1668 & PID=2441.
referenced here http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...1&page=1&pp=15

i couldn't make neither v4.0.1.1500 nor v4.0.1.2101 work on
my IBM ThinkPad R51. (same internal dongle as you - tried INF-patching, too...)

well.. who cares?
since the *.700 works fine... there's no real problem, is there?

correction:
the "Yolly Zubrick" method does work for VID=1668 & PID=2441 ...
one just has to do it correctly *ggg*
i've just made v4.0.1.2101 work. thanx 2 all contributors!

I then manually changed the drivers for the BT dongle (which was detected an installed using default MSBT stack), with the newer WIDCOMM stack. WIDCOMM (or CC&C) made a new effort of NOT SUPPORTING "generic" dongles, but you can still remedy the situation. If you don't have an older btwUSB.inf I attached a compatible one from a v4.x.x.700 installation (see below) (just rename btwusb2.txt to btwusb2.inf and place it inside your 4.x.x.2101 install folder)
I don't like this method because it can produce problemes. In the inf -file is described which files to copy, which registry settings to made ard so on. These things can chang from one version to an other.
I think the better way is to select a similar device from the file, dublicate the line with the pid and vid settings and modify matching them to the values of the own device.
Or perhaps copy only the line with the own pid and vid from the older inf file and insert it into the new one (should also work).

Alternate D/l ( Patched )

http://*******.com/c55mx

1) Add/Remove Programs - Uninstall existing Bluetooth Stack
2) Reboot.

1) Disable Device (Unplug)
2) Run above patched exe
3) Enable / plug in the device when prompted later in the install
4) Reboot.

Enjoy...

Just wanted to say thanks! I am now up and running with the internal Dell Truemobile 350 on my Inspiron 9300 notebook!

For anyone who is interested here is the 'btwusb.inf' file that I used:

http://home.comcast.net/~mlpaschal/btwusb.inf

All I did was add the VID/PID for the Dell Truemobile 350 device.

nice to hear that you got the widcomm driver to work with your 9300.
mind if u describe the steps in detail? i got the same bluetooth ( dell 350 with same VID and PID).
Tried installing with the setup.exe after modifying the btwusb.inf. Didn't detect the bluetooth . Repeat it with the bluetooth disable in bios then restart after installing with the bluetooth enable, still didn't detect the bluetooth . Repeat it and patch the four files, again fail to detect the bluetooth .
help please.

Lightbulb Found a way on T43

Hi folks,

I finally got it. Yeah. My onboard IBM bluetooth IV advice is working.

I had problems connection to my Nokia 6230. So I got no connection. But with the Widcomm .700 drivers it suddenly worked. But my Thinkpad didnīt accept the new patched Widcomm drivers (.2101?). Donīt know why.

So, if someoneīs out there still having problems with IBM and bluetooth try the older drivers or send a PM.

Cheers
