vBulletin has php platform which is personalized web system. that means everyone can see same page with different content. like when you see homepage without logged in - you will see welcome guest, where other logged in member will see welcome xyz member, in same url.


so, it might be some confusion while you see total post count on screen may be vary to different users. such as few people can see deleted posts not such as moderators , admin and super admin. while regular registerd member is not allowed to do so.

Better to keep concentration on your own post time - and post content rather than those numbers as they are different on many cases. example: restoring of deleted post.
few member delete their post after posting when they find something wrong on their article. So in that case you will go up or down. and one more thing

when 6 people post same time. it will show everyone 5000 to 5001 until they refresh page. Server arrange it by submission time even in micro seconds so there is no chance to have mistake. But as we know vbulletin is php and that is personalized html pages. each user can see same number until they refresh page.

post count is 5000 on that thread
each of them reply and press post button

everyone will see 5001 until they refresh page and when they refresh page, server will state you who is exact 5001 based on content submission time. So better to stop crying for 5001 respect answer from server

So, important question is: why user make a post and he see his post #5001, but after some time (f.e. several minutes) he see his post #5002

To be honest I do not have exact answer, but I have an idea only.
Who may have exact answer ?
1. probably this forum Administration (forum owners)
2. for sure - this forum programmers: Purchase vBulletin, the most powerful forum software available.

Anyway, my small thoughts is:
Different users have made 7 (seven) posts in 1 minute and posts was sorted only after this minute end.
So probably (probably, I am not sure) user make post and he see that he is number 1, but at THE SAME TIME another user make new post and he see that he is also number 1, and the same with third user etc. etc. etc.
Then, after 1 more minute, forum database engine re-sort all messages (f.e. by time) and messages now sorted in it's real order.

Please, respected users who know how is VBB works, post here your explanations.
We must get detailed explanation to avoid in future many questions from other users who may think that we are cheaters, but we are not cheaters. We do not count posts manually, we just see how is VBB database engine count posts.

Also, if you have some friends who has an experience in database management and VBB installation/configuration etc., please, try to ask them why posts counter was not correct. We need to get so many information as possible.

Ok, I understand what you tried to explain and welcome your decision.
Infinity Team is always trustable and best and they always do their best to solve users problem.
I don't need to talk to anymore person regarding database managment since I trust Infinity team, I know and believe what they do is right.

Probably there is the sense to change a little bit action Rules, and give the "prize" not mechanically for each xxx1 topic poster, but choose one of posts from xxx0-xx10 or xxx0-xx05, where by Your opinion will be shown useful info. This will help to avoid any spamming and useless activities of our dear forum members and also will save Your time , and others members time, and help to make Your product much better.

Мне думается, что иногда диктаторские телодвижения просто необходимы, чтобы хорошее начинание не скатилось в анархию, стало обузой и превратилось в хаос.
