Hi I'm trying to unlock my Nokia 6682/6681. However...the program doesn't respond when i click "make log". "Wait" comes on screen but freezes afterwards. I restarted my phone, turned my phone off then on but i still get the same results. What's the solution to this? If there is one, could someone direct me to the correct link. I'm desperate! One more detail, i'm using CA-42. Should I use a DKU-5 instead???

this is either a driver or com port issue. in your bb5_unlocker folder open the logs folder. open the cfg file with notepad. this will tell you which port the cable is trying to use. you can change the port in the advanced device manager settings. if you can't 'see' the cable re-install the drivers, i'd recommend the generic driver from the Nokia website.

I believe all of my drivers are updated. I tried changing the com ports but the program will open when its at com port 4 only. I tried on both Vista and XP operated computers, still the same issue.

Hi Viski

If you want to permanently unlock your nokia then you will need and unlock code from your network, or depending where you live you could take to a DM3 service point. The DM3 box can unlock any bb5 Nokia phone.

I'm still having trouble. This time i tried unlocking my NOKIA 6682 with a DKU-5 and the program doesn't respond once again!

im also having problem unlocking my fone!!! maybe i did wrongly on DKU-5 cable modification!!!
anyone still got the diagram for this!!!

Unlock Cable for a Nokia 5300?
Hi can any one please tell me which cable I should use to unlock a Nokia 5300? Mini USB - Standard USB FBUS but what number?

you cant unlock with DK free program mate, that program only works on a few models and 5300 inst included, you need a box
