hi,

just for your info:

- Rockey dongle can be emulated, there is comercial emulators (Gosha from Brainstudio)

- Comunication with phone is done via serial port which can be easy sniffed for ripping bootloaders/partials as author is doing

If you want my opinion team should move to smartcard and make partial patching depending on phone imei

best regards

Hi invisible,

I know that Rockey4 can be emulated, and at this time working for better protection on PolarBox for our customers. Thanks in advance for your post

About comport sniffing is imposibble to do nothing about this, as u know, u can sniff all comunication between computer-phone of all boxes in the market (USB, COM, IRDA, etc...) and stand alone clips too. Only know one safe way to do this, crypting data before send and decrypting inside phone...

Ripping partials and bootloaders is easy, but remember after this u must to do some calculations... not easy like older models to release solutions...

hi

decrypt data in the phone involves a lot of work,
also calculations are just checksums which are not more complex that few XOR,

however if you generate partial dinamicaly with smart-card (even with that rocket) things get complex,
I think would be better to concentrate on reading unlock codes that improve protection, having the algo java card can make calculations and there is nothing to rip

best regards

Everything can be cracked but this rockey seems to be really difficult and if they use rockey 5 what will you do for cracking or decrypt??Remember that rockey5 is using smartcard...

thats the point, the use of smartcard donīt mean anything,
home made protections are stronger most of the times

Fravia said many things during time and most of them don't apply know. Listen carefully my text: "It's not important what you use but how you use" (c)hack3r2k. And true ... crypting loaders will make a "1 min job a 5 min one"(c) the_laser. BTW ... Nothing will get emulated/cracked unless money invested and interest to disturb author. So ... long live Polar Box.
