it got connected to usb cable as com port 8 to PC

any 1 who is experienced with this model be please to share
your idea to unlock this phone with hwk

i have the procedure with usb cable from support but i can't enter phone in usb download mode. phone only power on after press Hold * button power and insert cable

i cant seem to to read info.always
failed to enter test mode.
n.b. i have followed the instructions in support.
when in download mode i can do all the operation including read and write.
what might be the issue,tried with three diff handsets same issue.
can it be improper installation of drivers?
in DEVICE MANAGER under ports it reads as SAMSUNG MOBILE USB PORT,and under USB CONTROLLERS it reads as samsung mobile usb device.
