i seriously don't think you are having the Samsung F480 as we all have here. i've never heard of the F480L before, F480T for the Australian version, F488 for Hongkong but other than that i'm not sure. Plus what u describer bout the features and difficulty you have with firmware i don't think it is the F480

Flashing frm DX region to XE region

Hi, i'm new in this forum.
I must say i joined this forum just to thank you WestHej to set up this topic and all other guys to put in thier experiences.

So, I'm gonna share my experience in flashing my F480 too.
I'm very glad to sucessfully flashed my F480 from F480DXHI2 to F480XEHJ1 (counldn't find any DX update yet), so it the region jump. At first it fleeze i was shocked i'm telling you but after flash Boot and it works fine
Unlike others i don't have issues with my phone i'm just an update freak

This is for those who is thinking of doing the same thing.
there is no critical changes from my F480DXHJ2 and the new FW, only:
1) more items in the Widgets (alarms, msg, funclub, bluetooth, calc) which is the thing i like most after updade, the icons look nicer more Appleish
2) Menu Black ground from White only, now Black and White, which i don't really care cuz i like white
3) For those in DX region you will find that XE region, when Texting button swap places, the space/new line button now on the left from the right, i need to get used to it.
4) you won't find Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thailand, .. languages as u used to get from DX, so don't update if it is crucial for u, for me it's not.
5) may be i imagine it but the speed seems better (well, it's kinda obvious, after flashing it clean from the previous version which loaded with like 12 games) btw, i have those touch screen games that really fun, I'm assembling them now.

Questions i wanna know:
does any body know way to improve speed of the phone, the responding time is probably the only one thing i don't like about my phone, other than that I SO LIVE IT.
i don't have issue that ppl complains such as call drops and bad reception, mine is perfect.
