Whenever I flash my phone it asks which local network I wish to use (in my case T-Mobile or Virgin) and then applies the correct network settings when chosen. I have never had to set up my voicemail/web/sms/mms settings manually.

I would however find out what yours are just in case.

i have flashed F480XEHJ1, but sometimes the phone block for no particular reason, saying to press 2 to continue

or something like that, and i have to remove the battery and put it again to work. maybe F480XXHJ1 removes this bug? many people asked for a link, can someone give it to us? thanks alot

I would love it if someone has the latest DX (Asia) version (October or November?), and can share their experience!!

I am using the September one, and the widgets are really few, and camera's not fantastic either, but I am loving it so far.

I just flashed my tocco with F480XEHJ1 from this link posted by t3rry

It seemed to flash fine and my phone is working ok, except no 3g or multimedia messages. Text and Calls are fine.
The phone was bought on ebay from Orange UK customer and I’m in Ireland.
Here’s the strange thing. The labelling of icons and commands are incorrect. For example on the wiget page at the bottom I had; dial, phonebook, menu, now I have; dial, message tone, menu. But when I press message tone it takes me to phonebook.
Also when I’m setting my alarm, before I flashed I could select AM or PM, now I can select either AM or hour, and AM corresponds to PM and hour corresponds to AM!
There are loads more of these mistakes and I don’t know what happened.

Should I flash another firmware version to my phone?

Wow really strange.. I have my O2 UK contract one, and used the same and mine's fine. You dd take the SIM and memory card out when flashing?

I would do this if not, and flash again

Yeh, MC and sim were out at time of flashing. I was a bit scared of flashing so I read this whole Thread beginning to end and followed the instructions on the 1st page to the letter

both sim and mmc can be insde, nothing to worry.. if ther;s problem with wrong strings something must have gone wrong while flashing, used all 4 files? then flash again.

I used all four. Without mc and sim.
I just had a thought. My PC is running Vista 64 bit edition, perhaps I should try another flash using my old XP comp.
Is there another stable version I should try re-flash with or shall I just use F480XEHJ1 again. I'm not too keen on flashing the phone any more times than I have to.
