I have the F480XEIB1 and as F480XEID1 also has the "XE" should have the same languages as mine and to answer your question... Portuguese is not in my firmware.. so i guess F480XEID1 does not have it either.

Hi I've bricked my samsung f480 a bit ago. I tried to flash it into the Ultra firmware, and after that it went blank. Can anyone help me salvage my poor device? Any procedures to unbrick? Any suggestions will help. Thank you!

I'm in the uk and am wanting de-brand my tocco, whats the best firmware at the moment to use?

Did you do this flash successfully? Does it include Chinese and English? I am still running F488ZHHE8, does HIC1 add anything useful? More widgets, better camera, faster response. etc?

Is HIC1 the latest Chinese language firmware at this point in time?

hi friends,i just flashed a f488 asian version with f480 xeid1,but photo saw better with asian firmware;can anyone confirm that ? (unfortunatly i didn't watch the f488 firmware version before delete it)

take some photos, save on pc,reflash to old FW, save, compare, choose the one you prefer, you can flash as many times as you want

There is not really a 'best' firmware as it depends on your preferences.
As you are from the UK you are ideally looking for either XX or XE.
Both have English, as most of the regions do.

The second part depends on what extras you require:

You can have either have Blue menus with no extra fonts or both Blue and Pink menus with 2 extra fonts.

Both of these options are the latest firmware, but you can try out other firmwares if your not happy.

Option 1:
If you don't wish to have Pink you can just pick F480XEID1 which will have English, more widgets, faster camera, and removes all the Orange junk.

Option 2:
If you want Pink menus, (Blue is an option too) and 2 additional fonts for your menus, you may want F48FXEID1 (Notice the F in the name).
You will also have English, more widgets, faster camera, and no Orange junk!

Note: With Option 2, it will be easier to sell the phone off to a girl, as they may want Pink menus and the fancy fonts. However at the bottom on the boot screen it says La Fleur (as this is the name of the editions of Toccos with the Pink)

The reason I don't want to flash to find out nothing is I can't be bothered typing in all my predictive text words AGAIN

PS I've a good mate called Jonathan Taylor, but he don't have a Tocco

Few bugfixes, some say the camera has improved.
Overall, just more stable.
But comparing it to your Orange firmware, it will have nothing Orange on there, even the widgets.
BTW, does Orange appear on your wallpaper. If it does, is it a widget, or is it stuck on the wallpaper.
If it is stuck on it, with the F480XEID1, you will be able to drag it into the widget bar as a widget, and keep it there.

About the texting; that will be a pain, but sometimes I hate it, when it adds words automatically. It can be good sometimes, but sometimes annoying.

My Orange network label can be dragged off as a widget (thank ***!)

If my phone crashes again I will def update then (has gone red background and froze in past).
