You will be in small trouble only if there is glue between PCB and flash chip.
If not, you can try to do like Siemens SL75 Test Point procedure(see in DBSS) and insert the wire a litle inclined(see the attached picture).
You can try to use side tp too. It's not so hard to do. Identify what is your variant and test several times. Well, it's not recommended do it, but the chance you kill the flash chip is very very small.
You can try to use a USB Microscope(Do you remember BB5 tp unlock?).
It will help you a lot.
