K750i --> W800i & IMEI

I have a k750i at the moment but it needs an IMEI change.
If i wanted to change IMEI and upgrade to w800i would i just have to change the imei number in SEMC then flash the phone with the IMEI patched w800i flashfiles or is there anything else i would need to do?

Hi,

Not that you are going to, but IF someone wanted to change am IMIE they would would use the unlock tab, tick the "change imie" and enter new imie. click "Do selected job"

once that is done you have to flash the main_imie and fs flash files to the phone using the "flash ARM" tab. remember to use the K750i flash files.

Once that's done flash the w800, main and fs flash files. upgrading a K750 to w800 is easy. just flash the w800 files to the phone.

But wouldn't flashing the w800 files overwrite the k750i main_IMEI so the OTP imei would be active again rather than the flash IMEI?

once you change the imei,you always have to use patched flash files.so try to flash the phone W800 patched files,which are on support.no worries if the phones doesnt power on,just flash it back to K750 and will be ok.

That's what i thought! Worth a try.. as you say, i can always flash the k750i files and undo any mistakes.... thanks a lot

i have change IMEI wid cruiser for w800i it went throug oke but ven i cheack fone Imei wid *#06# it cumz up with 18 digit of Imei any bdy have any idea how to put only 14 digit one

I have a D750@K750 with R1BC002. As I know its CID49 but the soft reads out Flash CID: 36. How?

If I want to change IMEI on this phone can I use W800_R1AA008_ZONE1_STANDARD_IMEI and the good FS to convert it to W800 and change imei?

It's not problem to flash it with lower fw version?

R1BC002 is used on CID49 phones but can be used on CID36 phones too .

if the software reads out Flash CID: 36 then the phone is IS CID36 - no doubt about it .
you will have to use these files you mention above .there is no problem using lower version if you have a cid36 phone.
