Redbox has stopped working ,,,,,,Please help..! - GSM-Forum

Cant run the Redbox Soft (was working before)
Get this message

"Xprotector"
A monitor programme has been found running in your system.
Please, unload it from memory and restart your programme

Also just tried to run Trium Tool and that had the same message

I went on me hols and they were working ok then
I got back and d/loaded Norton and Zonealarm updates etc
(have tried shutting down Norton and Zonealarm but it doesnt make any difference)

If anyone can tell me how to rectify this , I would be extremely happy as I have had to put the s/wares on another computer

CTRL+alt+del see aplications running in pc background end task for none common apps and see if tou can redbox software again or reinstall all

Tried shutting down the applications using CTRL+alt+del , but same results

Is there any other way to repair this as didnt realy want to format pc

does all redbox software have this problem or philips only cause some versions of philips need xp environement and do not work on 98 but latest
version 2.3 works good on 98se

Change you PC !!!

it might be that the USB isnt giving enough power try using externally powered USB hub

It happens on all of the soft with Redbox

Also The trium 2.1 soft (Lpt dongle) stopped working too .
Yes they are working on another pc , but were working on this pc

And I am using an externally powered usb hub , but the trium soft doesnt need usb power
I think I will have to format it to repair this fault

Finished formatting c:

All soft working 100%

NO error messages

Not the correct way to sort it but it is working again

Fault came back atfer installing Norton / Zonealarm etc

Finally found the culprit..! .....Zonealarms lataest update (Removed it from my Pc and the problem dissappeared , all soft working 100%
