i did this to my note 3 N900A AT&T 4.3 MJ5....

it did reset EFS, but no luck to get it connected with uart
I am having exact same issue as well. are you using the infinity box with the SPT software or are you using the SPT box?

no one was talking about the n900w8. we are talking about the n900t and n900a having uart connection problems. NOT N900W8. so your advise is not needed. you dont have the same phones we are talking about. so shut up. you are just confusing the issue even more.

Within the past few days I've been working on 3 models, N900T, N900A and N900V with no problems whatsoever......until tonight. I was working on a N900V and started to have the UART problem, I did the same procedure on 3 units, same model, same firmware but this one was giving me the UART issue. Could not figure it out, then after a while I just restarted both the computer and the phone with the UART cable connected and after restart clicked on “factory mode” and it worked who knows what the issue was. I’m including some screenshots 7284/0808 as you’ll see I did not change anything after reset, I think you only supposed to select something when you need to repair the network. Everything seems to be working good, even the speeds are the same as I get on my T-mobile phone.

You don't need to set the phone over UART for the Verizon only on the N900T and the N900A ....
