This is just another post that builds up hopes but doesn't actually work as the title suggest.
The original post presumes SHSH is already saved and you're on 4.1 firmware then tells you to upgrade before you downgrade. Complete rubbish.


There's some posters on here who don't help anybody at all and if I wasn't so cynical, I'd probably suggest Apple personnel have infiltrated the forum. If you believe this will actually work and go ahead and try it, you may very well end up being forced to update to the latest firmware because it's the only one that Apple are signing.

Hmmm Looks good but its a mistake by Apple servers..These servers still signing old 4.1 firmware so we can still restore to this version...I did too many phones without the need of tinyumbrela or green poison...Just put phone in special dfu mode with redsnow and after that just restore with 4.1 custom firmware!...Enjoy!

error 1015 fixed with tinyumbrella-4.30.05 {EXIT RECOVERY} no need RecBoot for 3Gs.

yes you can, first clean you hosts file (leave as normal) then connect to tinyumberellah and save shsh then you will see in the list select 4.2.1 and do according to my first post.

I did what you said. but there are no 4.2.1 select but only 4.3.1...what is the problem??
