This thread is for those who where having problem with their iphone 3gs updated to 4.0 heres a better solution

even you were in 4.0 ver you could still downgrade it to 3.1.3 after you've manage to downgrade it you can now unlock it usings this tools


iTunes 9.2
orig 3.1.3 ipsw
ireb v3.1

Heres some screenshots:






you will now encounter error in itunes just ignore it & close itune then open ireb





now jailbreak it using spirit







Then Unlock






You are now running in version 3.1.3 w/ Modem firmware 5.13

Thats the lease we can do for now

this method of downgrading works 1000000000000% also on iphone 3gs 4.0 to 3.1.3 new bootrom,just follow procedures and it works perfect no doubt,i just did it now...........

first flash your iphone 3gs 4.0 with itunes 9.2 and after finished uninstall itunes 9.2 and install itunes 9.0 then flash it with 3.1.3,at the end of procedure will appear an error but doesn't matter anything just use ireb and everything is fine,dont forget you will need original sim or these universal sim to activate it and than unlock it with ultrasnow...........dont forget to do this in case you cant flash with 3.1.3

3gs can only be downgraded by having 3.1.3 shsh blob saved on cydia server and editing the itunes host file.

If you don't have your blob's saved there is no way to downgrade it yet.

For 3gs Iso4.0 jailbreak.....

The solution is not yet out

Only iphone 3g can be jailbreak by Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3
