I'll try the other way. One thing I noticed was like 1942 on the Gameboy one is like 1mb and it is WAY smaller for the NesEm emulator I use.

Not sure why this is. Guess i'll have to see how big the rest of the files are. No bid deal with an SD card, but 1mb versus 128kb

Just seems odd.
go to the file named launcher thats on the card (palm, programs, launcher)and you will find the roms that dissapeared
Attached Files
File Type: rar TextPlus.patched.rar (168.2 KB, 488 views)

Hmmm, not there and I just have a Zlauncher deal and no launcher foder. I didn't see them cause none of my memory went down. My Zlauncher settings shows card memory and regular memory.

Anyway, the 5 way naviagation didn't work on 1942, and at 1mb a rom I think i'll pass and just stick with NesEm since the roms are VERY small. Not sure what is up with the gameboy ones

Might try GBulator and see if that works. And I found out they don't make a ROM installer tool for Gameboy games. The only way is to install too the card. Oh well, its not that big of a deal. Just wish they weren't bigger files then NesEm ones.

I would personaly suggest ljp nothing can beat it nes,gb,gbc, sms, genesis, atari, neogeo, gamegear need I say more and as far as the 5 way keypad i'm pretty sure you need to set up the controls and if you cant then again i suggest ljp I mean you just cant beat genesis in the palm of your hand and gbc as well as nes rock the house

#1 dont be sorry for asking questions thats what the threads for man!
and as far as the selfkeygen prc I havent used that specific one but my advice would be to load it and try to reg with any # and it should give you the serial then uninstall and reinstall the original(no keygen)and use the serial you recieved try that and if it doesnt work let me know and we'll get it

I think (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) that if you have the same program in the RAM as on the card, and you try to run the card one, it runs the RAM one. So unintall the one in RAM (which is probably the legit one) and reinstall the keygen to RAM. Try to register the app. It might say invalid code, but it should still give you the key somewhere. Sometimes they have to be run a second time, so don't give up if it doesn't work the first time. After it gives you a key, write it down, uninstall the keygen, install the original version, and register with the key you wrote down. Thats how they typically work...

Wheelie (or anyone likewise qualified), I am actually really interested in learning how to make selfkeygens... any pointers?

Self-keygen = most (not all) applications will ask for your reg code. Then, they will calculate your correct code and compare both. If equal they will mark it registered and go on. A self-keygen is an application that has been patched so, just after it finishes calculating your real code, it pops a message box with it for you.

Can you see the difference? On the first case, the patcher has to fully understand how the application calculates the correct reg code and duplicate it's code on a new appication. On the second case all we need is to find where the comparition between real <-> informed code is beeing done and replace it with a popup message showing the real one.

Why the later is not the choosen method always? Because several developers try to make this very difficult if not impossible. How? Instead of comparing the codez, they follow a diffrent approach. They normally calculate an encripted version of the code and, when you are asked for the reg code, what you entered is also encripted and then, both encripted (real & informed) are compared. If they match it means that the unencripted version are also the same so you are validated.

That lpj is a pretty cool deal. And the fact that you can do all those on the same one makes it really neat. AND IT IS FREE

Might be better than NesEm. Haven't tested any of those yet, but so far seems to work ok. Thanks for the info on that software.

But I assume since it took less than an hour between posting the first part and the second part (100ish megs) ands its been well over an hour since then (for 70ish megs), that the feds beat down your door and confiscated your modem and now we need to go to D.C. to bail you out?
all three parts are up now... i fell asleep during the last upload.
