Anyway, the 5 way naviagation didn't work on 1942, and at 1mb a rom I think i'll pass and just stick with NesEm since the roms are VERY small. Not sure what is up with the gameboy ones Might try GBulator and see if that works. And I found out they don't make a ROM installer tool for Gameboy games. The only way is to install too the card. Oh well, its not that big of a deal. Just wish they weren't bigger files then NesEm ones. Last edited by quickstang; 12-19-2006 at 21:52.

and as far as the selfkeygen prc I havent used that specific one but my advice would be to load it and try to reg with any # and it should give you the serial then uninstall and reinstall the original(no keygen)and use the serial you recieved try that and if it doesnt work let me know and we'll get it

Can you see the difference? On the first case, the patcher has to fully understand how the application calculates the correct reg code and duplicate it's code on a new appication. On the second case all we need is to find where the comparition between real <-> informed code is beeing done and replace it with a popup message showing the real one. Why the later is not the choosen method always? Because several developers try to make this very difficult if not impossible. How? Instead of comparing the codez, they follow a diffrent approach. They normally calculate an encripted version of the code and, when you are asked for the reg code, what you entered is also encripted and then, both encripted (real & informed) are compared. If they match it means that the unencripted version are also the same so you are validated.

Might be better than NesEm. Haven't tested any of those yet, but so far seems to work ok. Thanks for the info on that software.
