basic question about Blackberry


if we do upgrade OS,we must delete vendor.xml
this is always we do right?
question is what happen if we didnt delete vendor.xml?

what i know is that you dont have to deleted it, if you only work with one model. Unless you want to upgrade you OS with diff. blackberry model and you want to install software device, it woun't let you do so. That mean you have to deleted the vendor.xml in order to install diff blackberry model software devices

brother if you dont delete vendor.xml
then you cant update 8100vodaphone file to 8100 t mobile.

models are same but providers are different so cant write ..

its my thinking

It identifies your device as being branded to a certain carrier.

If you don't delete it, you cannot load software for another carrier's device to your device.
