TomTom 7 will apparently address the internal GPS for the N95.
BuMobile has stated before that garmin and route 66 works with Nokia N95 internal GPS and I am sure that TomTom 7 for symbian OS has not been released!

to enable your internal gps to work on garmin xt then you need to download the keygen for garmin xt from the same thread as the garmin programs create the sw.unl and put the id code for your generated imei inside this file and save it to the memory card in the garmin folder

Hi guys, cool forum, didn't even know it existed until somebody on newzbin pointed it out to me!

Can anybody sort me out with a cert file for route

Route66 S60 v7.3.545 - its going on a Nokia N95 ( IMEI: 358998012062330 ).

Thanks!

Out of interest, which one do you think is better - TomTom or Route66? I've only ever had stand-alone tomtom boxes, which is why im trying route66 out!

Tom Tom is probably best overall but for internal GPS use GARMIN XT is top notch right now. Route66 is fine but not as good as Tom Tom or Garmin IMO

Need help guys, pls help!

POSTED BEFORE, WITHOUT RESPONSE. TRYING MY LUCK HERE :-)
************************************************** *
Thanks to bumobile and titan05(hope got it right) I got Tomtom 6.010(7640),driver v1.2 working on my Nokia E62 mobile. I have a 1GB mem slot of which currently about 930MB is usued for GPS files. I used a data reader and got the version for USA_and_Cananda map as v675.1409.

A few issues I have had:
- I used this software and found off target on 2-3 occassions..sometimes distances with about 1 mile round about...so, is there a latest USA map update which is available that can work with 6.010? If so, can I accomodate in a 1GB drive? Please let me know.

- I tried to update it with 6.02xxx update which BuMobile has posted but each time I try to install with current date,I get error "Certificate may not yet be valid, is expired, or the phone date is set wrongly" or "Expired Certificate".... bla bla. I usually set it to about 4 months back to install and go ahead sometimes shows invalid certificate. I tried changing dates to future, past..no use..set security configuration ..but still issue persists. Can anyone answer this issue?

- Even the current maps which are working have issues. The map appears so dim that its hard to recognize turns. I figured this as an issue in Nokai E62. One way to overcome this is to hold the lower left arrow button + cntrl twice. It solves, but then suddenly appears after 20-25 mins or when you get a call, while its in operation. I see this as open issue in some other web forumns, any idea?

Is there any other GPS software available on this forum which may be better for my 1GB card(this is for USA maps) and much accurate, say Garmin XT 4?

Thanks for anyone who can help.

1, Latest USA Maps are Posted on this Thread
2, The certificate error is due to your date and time set on the phone set it to the present date and time, then factory reset the phone memory and install tomtom 6.02
3, Garmin XT will work on the Nokia E62

Thanks for the tip - didn't even know garmin did a symbian app, will check it out soon. I think I like the thought of just using the internal gps unit on the phone... I think I saw somebody post saying that v7 of tomtom will use internal gps units now, hopefully thats true!
