Some bad news from Nokia

Hi,

Just been told by a friend that Nokia decided to do what most of us already have
suspected.

Here is their verdict.

And here the future.

In few words - new versions of Phoenix will no longer support FBUS flashing
via FLS-5 device on BB5 models. Only USB flashing will be supported.

i flash mostly the n96 phones (in time where it fails on jaf and mt box i was able to flash with fps-10).

i have flashed many bb5 sets with my fps-10 .

this box is realy great, it is able to flash via ethernet, if i whant i can start phönix at home and flash my phone remotly in my office...

i can install phönix on all my pc´s in my office and can access my fps-11 from every computer i whant.

this box have its own operating system running in it, with internal own ram.
flashfiles where loaded into this ram and get flashed witouth pc.
if my pc shutdown, my fps-11 flash my phone finished even when the pc is shutdown.

i love this box and i hope it is supported in future too.

//EDIT:
okay sorry my fail!

i mean fps-10...
i writen wrong modell number.

i mean is fps-10 supported in future....

The bad news is, that we can't use the upcoming updates of phoenix suites by using Genie.

@oOXTCOo: have you tried "the *******" FPS-21?

Hi,

All new Nokia phones have USB rom, so maybe for them is cost effective to
support FBUS flashing only in one device, that is better suited for the job (FPS-10/21).

FLS-5 (Genie emulator) will be used only as protection dongle in the future, all
the flashing will be done via USB cable. It's not big problem, since this is the case
with many other makes(SE).

Thats Really BAD news....
Was really FUN and feels power while flashing with FBUS..
Its better for Ur team now to Route Genie with a Flasher made by third Party now ....
