Before using the simlock RPL, how to check if the superdongle is fine

HI,
This little post is about how to check if the superdongle is ok or not and to understand the actual state of our mobile before working on it.
Just have a look at the PM308 (You can see in the images 3 samples of PM opened using notepad)
In the sample "A" we have an healty PM complete of simlock and superdongle data (the superdongle data are Highlighted)
If our PM308 looks like this we can use the function simlock RPL to solve the contact service without problems.
In the sample "B" we have instead a PM308 without superdongle but with the simlock data in (Simlock area is higlighetd): If we rebuild the simlock, afterward the mobile will go straight away in Watch dog so we wast our logs in repairing the simlock!
In the Sample "C" is the worst scenario (This is usual with the 5130XM): mobile without simlock and superdonlge. A mobile like this needs to have rebuilded both the fields and, if it is SL3, only a nokia RPL can fix it.

BR

Alex

but there are some bb5 phones who have no superdongle data in the PM, but if we rely alone from it by reading in the notepad...then we are failure...we need to recheck the phone in other SW to see the SDK(WD timer is enabled) is valid or not...in order that not waste our logs...just add button to check SDK problem in cyclone...pls make it standalone

Hi,
The reason I made this post is to have a quick check at the mobile before wasting the logs on a simlock repair.
Obviously would be nice if this function is added but, in the while, at least you are able to check at it just from a normal simlock back-up.

Not aways as it startes immediately after the simlock array so the starting point is subject to the lenght of the simlock array may be half of the 4th line or half of the 5th line..
for sure it fills the 6th, the seventh and the 8th line
