Nokia 5800d-1 RM 356 Rejects call after unlock

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to this mobile phone business and I am still learning. I recently purchased Cyclonebox and UFC v2 and started flashing and unlocking phone. Everything is going pretty well until I tried unlocking a Nokia 5800d-1.

My problem is after unlocking the phone (the log shows all is open). It accepts SIM from other provider without a problem but It seems like all calls are being rejected. So I tried to insert the SIM from the Service provider which the phone was locked before and all calls went through ok, but from other SP it keeps on rejecting the calls even if it is unlocked (or I maybe wrong).

I tried flashing the phone to a newer software version 50.xx (before it was 31.xx101) but the problem still remains.

I have searched the forum for a similar problem but I couldn't find any. I have attached some logs. I would appreciate if you guys can help me and Hopefully I can learn a lot from this. Thanks in advance..

Sledge

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies.

@roberts, I didn't really try the other SIM onto another phone. Now I am thinking you might be right, maybe the SIM has some call barring enabled or something. Could this be possible? mmm..I did tried only one SIM from a different SP since it was the only available SIM to test. I will try to load the SIM again and try deactivate all call barrings onn Monday . May I ask what does *#7350# does?

@cristi_slob, At first I tried NCK calculation (new method) and it didn't work so I used RPL recalculation and based on the logs it worked ok.

I will try to check the security settings of the phone and try to reset this. Can I do this directly from Cyclonebox through FBUS or do I have to go through all the menus of the phone? Then I will try to disable all call barring, if I can. I will give you guys a feed back.

Phone is barred, ie, its been reported lost or stolen,

ffs, learn fast instead of asking people here who will give you many stupid answers to a simple question.

Hi Guys,

@cristi_slob, When you said check security status of phone, are you pertaining to "Analyze Security"? Anyway I clicked analyzed security and below are the logs I got, I couldnīt make up anything from it but it seems like there are some checksum errors. Can you also point me to links where I can read faqs about this SD Simlock?

I checked other SIM from other providers and it seems like all are doing the same thing (call rejected). The phone still works ok when using the original or any SIM from the original operator. I also tried disabling all call barrings to no avail. I am really getting confused, although I have succesfully unlocked only few phones since I have started, this is the first time I encountered this problem. But then again..I guess I will encounter more in the future

@James_R, is there a way I can verify if this phone has reported stolen? I may be wrong but I think if it has been reported stolen none of the SIM will work, nt even the SIMs from the original operator, no?

Thanks for helping out, guys.
