First use at Cruiser 1 'dead' phone! - GSM-Forum

Its an F500i, after unlocking it wont switch on. I presume that it needs flashing as I unlocked RSA, but I cant see a file for this model in the support section?

Also I got this message when I turned it on

YOU ARE USING A TRIAL CARD
Number of logins left: 50
Version 4.30 beta ready!

Is this usual?

F500 is the Voda version of the K500.
They both use the same flash,
For Unlocking, After Unlock RSA, reattach, and read codes, then enter codes on the phone.

Its the same as fighter with all the new phones, thanks for the info I will flash it as it wont switch on now for whatever reason, so I cant enter codes, thanks guys for the response

PS whats the difference in the files R2AA003 and R2Y005 R2AE033 in the support for the K500/F500 any idea?

The Dog:

You are getting the "trial logins" message because your Cruiser is not fully activated. Once your reseller has recieved back your Fighter Card then you will be given a new activation key which will make your Cruiser fully activated.

About your F500, make sure your battery is fully charged. Then flash ARM, unlock RSA and then flash FileSystem.

R1D is newer then R1C.
But firmware with 2 letters EX "R1CA" is newer then firmware with just one letter.

For your phone the newest firmware is R2AE033.

Have gone to download the firmare. We have main firmware and raw firmware, whats the difference is one cooked?

There is main firmware and raw file-system.
Main firmware is the phone software,
the raw file-system consists of user data, many non-executable files, java applets, etc.
Since it is raw, it has to be cooked by customizing the phone.

But I am having big problems. The F500i now needs a recovery file which I have downloaded every one for CID29 and nothing works so for now the phone is dead! Another phone a K500i I haver unlocked the RSA and succesfully flashed but now the camera is saying: Wrong Camera Driver version(3.9). Please update camera driver to 3.10 or later. Where are the files for this please??! THANKS!

F500i: Use Repair certificate button, turn the phone off and reattach. Then flash it and customize it as usually.
K500i: Have you used the R2AE033 firmware? (The files are in Raw FS)
