General Query about WAP Settings - GSM-Forum

My primary reason for purchasing the Cruiser system is to reconfigure (customise) SonyEricsson phones. E.g. If I have a generic greek unit that I want to sell in the UK I need to set it for generic uk standard. I have found with cruiser that although I can change the language pack using the raw fs, it will not load up the correct wap settings as found in a UK generic unit. Does anyone know how to do this except entering the wap profiles manually.
I thought that the customise fs would do the job, but it makes no difference to the wap profiles on the W800i or K750i that I have tested.
Please help

just go to Sonyericsson support site, and there will be automatic setup there ~

Lt_Dan: Sorry mate but you mis-understood what the customization of Cruiser does. It's a generic customisation for specific language packs, it's not operator specific. No wap settings etc are put into the phone.

As gwaai said, you can often use the SE site to send them over the air (that's what I do)

I know there was talk from Lead about cc20 ages ago, which would include the ability to customise the phone in more detail. You might also be able to download the customise.xml from a phone configured how you want it, edit it and upload it into another phone but I really haven't tested this and wouldn't suggest trying it unless you like to experiment.

Hi,

you CAN do this but actually I found no way do customisation with cruiser. With Se**** you can edit the customize.xml in /tpa/preset/custom with your own settings. Please Mr. Lead is this also possible with Cruiser or possible to implement in one of the next releases?

That's right of course, but the poblem is, that you can't download the files first...

This Feature should we all have...
