Why my K750i has 4 locks closed after IMEI change - GSM-Forum

I have just changed the IMEI on y K750i with version 8.11 and it has changed but now a message comes saying insert correct sim card. Problem is when i try unlocking it the IMEI gets reverted back to its original value?
how do i get around this??

You'll have to flash the phone and check "Disable OTP IMEI check" before changing the IMEI, or else the phone security area gets "corrupted", resulting in a four-lockdown. There must be consistancy between the phones IMEI and the lock-codes.

Guys i have flashed my K750i with the main and raw FS and now when i switch my phone it says please wait and then it just stays there, what shall i do??

You shall direct unlock it, is what you shall do.
If that does not work, you shall use the search button, I know this has been the discussed many the time.

OK, let me explain the procedure in crayon:

1: Convert the phone to BROWN36.
2: Flash the phone with the latest available firmware (Just flash both Main+Raw) with "Disable OTP..." checked.
3: You now need to recreate the phones security area, this is done in the "Security AVR" tab. Enter the desired IMEI in the proper field and press "Write...". This will also unlock the phone if you don't play around with the settings.
4: Convert the phone back to RED36.

Presto, you now have an unlocked K750 with the IMEI of your choice.

Do a "Direct unlock" or write a new security area to the phone, that should do the trick. The reason for the hang is a "corrupted" security area. Just follow the instructions above and this will be out of your hair.

I have done everything possible flash main , raw, customize and shutdown fs, write security zone, direct unlock, disable OTP IMEI, convert to phone brown n still 4 locks closed.
I had no problems with version 6.1 but that has expired.
Lead sort it out cus u cant blame the phone for this

never tested yet emei changing on cruiser. cant understand the proper procedure. it is really tested?

I did quite a few with version 6.1 and that never had a problem but is there a way i can re-install version 6.1 on my comp without getting the time expiry message?

The following Cruiser version will support that thievery-function again.
