A good way to learn soldering is to use a scrap pcb, remove components and try refitting them, start with the larger components and then when you feel your ready move on to smaller.

To: 1amigo & Lucascape.
Please carry on the brilliant information posts as you have been doing, and continue to give the information as you see fit. You are both doing a great job in educating people like myself, who are not very experienced in the mobile phone sector, and the information should continue only as you decide. Please keep up the good work guys. Many thanks.

Last Lession for Passive Electronic Component

This is the last of the Lessions on Passive Electronics Components.
The Lession is much lengthier, but interesting , i hope !
Next shall be Lessions on Active Electronic Components like Transistors, ICs etc.
Slow but Steady Should Win the race Ultimately. So Beginners who have been reading my Lessions with patience are bound to gain much better knowledge than those who just want to jump to direct fault finding , i believe !

The Transistor

The Transistor
Transistors are basic components in all of today's electronics. They are just simple switches that we can use to turn things on and off. Even though they are simple, they are the most important electrical component. For example, transistors are almost the only components used to build a Pentium processor. A single Pentium chip has about 3.5 million transistors. The ones in the Pentium are smaller than the ones we will use but they work the same way.

SO LET US LOOK INTO WHAT THESE TRANSISTORS ARE AND WHAT MAGICAL PROPERTIES THEY HAVE THAT MAKE THEM AN INEVITABLE COMPONENT IN ALL THAT GOES INTO AN ELECTRONICS ITEM.
