Talking Whats the worst stuff up you have done?

This may be a bit off topic, but what is the worst stuff up that has happened while repairing a phone? Eg, Solder CCONT upside down, flash the wrong MCU, dropped the phone in front of the customer, **** away a whole heap of resistors with hot air?

Myself, i dont know what happened, maybe it was too much liquid flux or heat, but i was fitting a COBBA onto a 8210. There was a loud POP, and every single capacitor in that area just jumped right off the board. Also my first T28, while changing PA, I damaged the EL backlight pad.

Talking ?????????

Hi all

I've done some really F**cked up stupid things but one thing that come to mind is another guy "Mr X" we'll call him he got a liquid damaged 6110 so he cleaned to board then put it next to a small bar heater and all was well untill he picked up the board , burn't his fingers and dropped the board and parts from the cpu to the flash lay on the floor next to the board. "that was very amusing "

Later D.

when I first got my hot air SMD rework station, i had no idea how to use it. I put on the wrong nozzle, cranked the air right up, and blew away most parts off a 3210. hehehe lucky it was a dead one!!

At first my 3210 had no signal. I read somewhere to flow PA. I put too much flux and "fried" the pcb into a potato chip! Now, the fone is dead. Finally I discovered the reason for my problem: I forgot to put back the antenna cover. Heheheheh.
