Ponit of this solution to restore this 3g devices to wifi devices and activate trough serials, no more gsm conection, you will get wifi apple tab air.... trick is dissable modem and restore to restore firmware same model, but withoud modem , ......... no way for phones, becouse no same ipods, like 4s, 5,5s, etc......

NO you can't... only 3G supported by this solution.

i tested this method on ipad 2 A1396 but after that the ipad entered to dfu and iTunes detected it as iphone and i could not restore it again so i think that my ipad 2 is Over

On the iPad Model A1459 (GSM) remove the resistor r1204 (10 kOhm). On the Model A1460 (CDMA)remove the resistor r1204 (10 kOhm).
iPad will enter DFU mode.
Connect the tablet to your PC or Mac.
After that you need to restore the tablet through iTunes with firmware of Wi-Fi model and activate using the official method
