Could anyone confirm weather i need to solder the 2 points at the other end of the battery connector? (In the corners)

GSMan, do you mean these 2 points? and if so where should they be solder to? I don't have the battery post so I'm running all connections directly to the battery. Thanks in advance.

my battery connector was soldered back on but the phone now restarts itself constantly

is it the 2nd connecter from the bottom (earth) that needs re soldered?

The 3rd from bottom (2nd from top)

Looks like the two large pads highlighted in red above are just anchoring points just to give the connector something to get hold of

I am thinking of replacing the battery in my iPhone4.

What exactly is the problem with removing the battery connector and how does one remove it properly to avoid going through these surgical repairs ?

Hi!! You only have to do carefully...maybe hold the connector soldered to the mainboard down with a small screwdriver while you are taking up the metal on the battery connector

Mine is broken too. I've read all 4 pages but still has some doubts.

I am not an expert in eletronics so I may have some basic doubts.

It broke when I removed the battery and I tried to sold it myself. I did not know if I broke something. After I sold it, it did not work. I sent it to an iphone repair store and they've said that the logic board is damaged and wanted to charge me U$400 to replace it but I've seen some boards that are worser then mine. Is there a way to damage the board solding it ?

It is not turning on (so this means that the battery is not connected?) and when I plug it it turn on, it turns on and restart after a few minutes. But when it is on, it says only emergency calls and if I click in the "i", it says "IMEI: UNKNOW" and "ICCID: Unknow".

There are some gold dots near the connector. I maybe have damaged it. Are they important ? Can they've damaged the logic board ?

Also there is a picture of the connector to see how damaged they are.

I do have a meter.

How do I check wich connector (A, B, C, D) is not working ?
