3gs battery draining

sorry for the double post from a other treath but i think i will get a quicker response here...

my iphone 3gs went black/dead after i tried to charge it with and external portabloe charger and would not startup anymore.

i opened it up and reseated the mobo on the battery and he turned on but got hot and the battery drain was terrible (complete in standby in 2-3 hours)

after a wile he started to become normal, without the running hot issue but with a battery drain of 4-5% per hour.

now i would like to know if somebody knows witch part got damaged because he act right now quite normal, charges the phone in 2-3 hours from 2%-100%, doesn't run hot, but drains 5%/h in standby without anything turned on (bt, wifi, pusht etc.)

the last 2 days i checked the fuse on the charging dock and the fuse seams to be ok, a new battery arrived today and its the same... draining 4-5% per hour.

since nothing seams to heat up during use or charging i am not sure if the main trouble comes from the power management ic but maybe im wrong

can someone give me further instructions what to do/test on the mobo

a big thanx to you

Error 2005

Problem connecting. Probably a hardware failure.

After what this problem occurred did you dropped in water or on ground?

well, with a use of aprox. 1.5-2h i can get a maximum of 16-18 hours of the battery life with everything turned off like 3g, location services, bt, push etc

if i dont use the phone at all i get a battery loss of 5% per hour = 20 hours of standby time until it reaches 0% from 100% and then turnes off

This is not good there some component is shorting,i recommend to power on the phone without LCD & Touch and check with your lips entire board if some component is heating,be careful to not damage something.

With an service DC power by giving externally to phone 3.7V you can find what is the problem.
