Iphone4 Mic Not Working Thread.....

As we all know that most common problem with Iphone4 is the Microphone, even how many times you change the mic or mic flex assembly still the problem didn't resolve. Hope this thread will help us analyze the best solution for this issue. I will post the possible solution but let us try to cement the best solution if there's any.

Mic w/ Docking Flex Assembly

Docking Flex with board system connector

Audio Codec

Audio Power Amplifier

Any successful stories about this issue please confirm. Thanks.

Best Regards,
Mp3

Thanks for your reply but I don't think it's the software issue. I have here in my shop more than 10 units after flashing ver4.1 (recommended version for Iphone4) still the same. But few of this damage phone had been jailbreak already.

This problem it's cause by the second mic (noise cancellation mic), if that mic dont work whatever the main mic senses will be trated as noise.

my best bet is to check and change the secondary mic

Note: noice cancellation only works when making a phone call (that's why does not affect the other funcions like recorder etc etc)

The real question is if NOISE CANCELLATION FEATURE can be disable by software...........................???

Can i suggest, in the old assy can you take the mic out and re-fit the flex assy ..............................just to test how phone will behave actually with the second mic compleatlly removed.
