Why You connected Vcc to Vbat on PCB ? Are You drunk from mastika ? :D

Vcc is NOT USED at the moment with RIFF box.
It's just measure point for Vref, and its not used in any case to power phone.

zinoubinabil 09-21-2010 20:48

wrong soldering jtag pinout that's why u have no luck
don't forget to "Insert USB Data cable into board and PC"

Boshko_Alfa 09-21-2010 20:53

OK i found that TRST is not conected properly.

Open serial port...OK
Connecting to the RIFF Box...OK
Firmware Version: 1.13, JTAG Manager Version: 1.14

can you please give as pictures what wires did you connect to the phone board did you put usb cable as well? i seen on support it's totally different connections please im stuk on this

Blartiartfast 09-28-2010 11:16

Just solder the 6 wires that are close together, plug the usb lead in from the computer to the Desire. For the TRST I use one of the "pins" that come with the pack soldered to the TRST wire (makes life easier on the Desire), and hold it on the pad.. No need for gnd (well not for me anyway..the USB from the computer will make this for you). From there, just follow the unlock instructions from the software..
No external power needed, no need for pressing power buttons, no gnd from box, etc.. Just what is written above.

thanks very much for your reply can i ask you one more question?

1st wire its half color one where you put this wire on board?

Blartiartfast 09-28-2010 18:40

Re: [SOLVED] nOOb: How to unlock desire AMOLED with RIFF?

Err that's a simple one. I listed all of the wires you need.. that one wasn't mentioned. You simply don't use lead 1. The Guy in the opening of this discussion had done..yes, but it is 100% not connected to unlock a desire.

Boshko_Alfa 09-28-2010 19:14

my problem is with cables :) i buy another rainbow ribon cable, not cut not longer than 3/4cm another socket's - and after that all HTC/Samsung phones without problem i conect with Riff. Also use USB from original brand, LG/Samsung/Nokia, use usb2.0 and of corse if u have cheap mainboard - give up from repairing :) need fast and powerfull config. :)

p.s. i also change pc - and after that don't have problems with riff :)

Hi can you laid down the procedure.As i also don't have working desire to make a gold card but have windows ELF for generating a Gold Card.
My question is that can i make a gold card for desire with HTC ELF.IF it is possible then please also little information will solve my issue.I want to flash device to revive back after resurrecting with RIFF.Now it can boot into Fast boot....!

Regards,
Gsm_Fone.:rolleyes:

Gsm_Fone 10-08-2010 18:02

HTC Desire can't enter into bootloader after resurrection.

After Creating gold Card and after i ran RUU i got an error.it stuck at 84% ..85%.And error[110] File open error.i re-downloaded files and tried again but always getting same error.Now it is hang at HTC logo and four Triangle are on every corner of LCD.

Check the picture below.Now it can't enter into bootloader mode and i tried to repair it via RIFF Jtag but can't enter into bootloader.Just start and hang at HTC logo with triangles.Earlier it was able to enter into bootloader.

P.S. Image is copied from this forum.{Thanks to Unknown}

earlier it has 0.80 bootloader.I tried repair IMEI Cid ID also.

Now it is in the above state.

htc desire problem after repair ?

htc desire problem after repair ?

i repair already my desire show fastboot
but cant flash ?

how to flash after repair ?:confused:

visit999 11-04-2010 13:48

Now i follow this step but same problem ??? cant flash firmware.

How to Update Firmware:
This is not a complete flashing manual; following info is just to explain some major flashing problems.
During firmware upgrade, the flashing software checks whether the CID of the firmware matches to the CID of the device. If CID not match, software will report error and will not allow phone to be re-flashed.
You can check what CIDs current firmware upgrade is intended for:
1. Start HTC's original firmware upgrade software ('RUU_......_.exe');
2. Go to your OS' TEMP folder and find where is the RUU upgrade software has unpacked itself to;
3. There will be rom.zip file present;
4. Inside of this ZIP archive you'll find “android-info.txt” file;
5. Open this file - it will have 'cidnum' entries listing the allowed CIDs;
6. Remember from that list any CID you like;
7. During resurrection process check the 'Repair Custom ID' field and enter the CID you have chosen (8 characters in length);
8. After Resurrection, the RUU upgrade software will work successfully.

Nokia-Shop 11-06-2010 21:16

back key and power button....

Boshko_Alfa 11-07-2010 13:05

ok, if don't go in fast boot with back key and power, try with volume down and power.

Also i think that when i try resurect i9000 there is 2 spl version, try other version b`coz there is 2 types of Desire with SLCD and AMOLED :)

Nokia-Shop 11-07-2010 15:16

it's not a rpoblem to try with other SPL.
Again solder cables, click resurect and choose other SPL version when u try resurect ;) if ur phone don't have hw faults - must go in fast boot

Same error here, 4 triangles and after resurrect phone does not even enter to fastboot menu.

Of course, flashing different backups did not help.Also no luck with ORT box + repair files and/or full backups (64mb or 128mb, same flash id).

For long story (before JTAG operations), check this (copy/paste):
Quote:

- phone doesnt boot up, it is stuck to a screen showing htc in the middle and 4 small triangles in the corners; if I unplug the pc cable it goes to a RUU menu
- no access to recovery or bootloader menus (by holding power + vol down/back)
- installing stock RUUs dont work; there is a 110 error saying that the RUU is not complete (tried 5-6 RUUs, both 2.1 and 2.2). there is a progress bar on the phone's screen that is normally green, but turns red when the radio is being written (as per the install wizard on the pc) and there is another triangle showing up at the end of the progress bar
- fastboot oem boot restarts the phone, but then it gets stuck to the white screen having htc in the middle (like when you start up the phone and after this quietly brilliant shows under htc, for me it doesnt go beyond this initial point)
- fastboot reboot-bootloader restarts the phone into the same 4triangles screen with htc in the middle
- adb doesnt work as it doesnt show my device
- any power + vol down/back combination brings the phone to the 4triangles screen
- if I run the stock RUU after fastboot oem boot (white screen with htc in the middle) there is a menu showing up on top of the white screen showing up the progress (1-bootloader, 2-radio_v2, 3-radio, then system, recovery, user data, etc.); bootloader is updated ok but then it gets stuck when updating radio_v2 and doesnt move further from that point)
- after the RUU install fails, I plug out the pc cable and see the RUU menu; depending on the RUU that I try to flash the hboot version changes up and even goes down after, but the firmware (what the RUU installer "sees" on the phone) and radio (seen on the RUU menu) remains the same: 1.21.405.1 and 4.06xx; the date on the RUU menu also changes depending on the RUU that I try to flash
Any clues?

@legija, can you share again that backup you where talking about here?
Does anyone have a FULL backup readed from working phone with RIFF (~528MB)?

Thank you all!
