can you please give as pictures what wires did you connect to the phone board did you put usb cable as well? i seen on support it's totally different connections please im stuk on this |
Just solder the 6 wires that are close together, plug the usb lead in from the computer to the Desire. For the TRST I use one of the "pins" that come with the pack soldered to the TRST wire (makes life easier on the Desire), and hold it on the pad.. No need for gnd (well not for me anyway..the USB from the computer will make this for you). From there, just follow the unlock instructions from the software.. No external power needed, no need for pressing power buttons, no gnd from box, etc.. Just what is written above. |

1st wire its half color one where you put this wire on board? |
Re: [SOLVED] nOOb: How to unlock desire AMOLED with RIFF? Err that's a simple one. I listed all of the wires you need.. that one wasn't mentioned. You simply don't use lead 1. The Guy in the opening of this discussion had done..yes, but it is 100% not connected to unlock a desire. |
my problem is with cables :) i buy another rainbow ribon cable, not cut not longer than 3/4cm another socket's - and after that all HTC/Samsung phones without problem i conect with Riff. Also use USB from original brand, LG/Samsung/Nokia, use usb2.0 and of corse if u have cheap mainboard - give up from repairing :) need fast and powerfull config. :) p.s. i also change pc - and after that don't have problems with riff :) |

htc desire problem after repair ? htc desire problem after repair ? i repair already my desire show fastboot but cant flash ? how to flash after repair ? |
Now i follow this step but same problem ??? cant flash firmware. How to Update Firmware: This is not a complete flashing manual; following info is just to explain some major flashing problems. During firmware upgrade, the flashing software checks whether the CID of the firmware matches to the CID of the device. If CID not match, software will report error and will not allow phone to be re-flashed. You can check what CIDs current firmware upgrade is intended for: 1. Start HTC's original firmware upgrade software ('RUU_......_.exe'); 2. Go to your OS' TEMP folder and find where is the RUU upgrade software has unpacked itself to; 3. There will be rom.zip file present; 4. Inside of this ZIP archive you'll find “android-info.txt” file; 5. Open this file - it will have 'cidnum' entries listing the allowed CIDs; 6. Remember from that list any CID you like; 7. During resurrection process check the 'Repair Custom ID' field and enter the CID you have chosen (8 characters in length); 8. After Resurrection, the RUU upgrade software will work successfully. |
i think u need gold card 4 flashing the phone :) |

Your Answer is Here. |

Again solder cables, click resurect and choose other SPL version when u try resurect ;) if ur phone don't have hw faults - must go in fast boot |
Same error here, 4 triangles and after resurrect phone does not even enter to fastboot menu. Erase gives error on the SAME addresses always: Quote:
For long story (before JTAG operations), check this (copy/paste): Quote:
