Did you try to do factory reset via recovery mode (including wiping cache) after you downgraded?

Unfortunately, currently no solution without downgrading phone's firmware to lower Android version. We work on this.

There is no need to downgrade it if you can obtain root on lollipop. Will it allow you to downgrade just the kernel to nd3 so you can use towel root to root it?

Flash the nd3 kernel below to the phone via pda/ap tab in odin. See if it will stick if not just flash the lollipop rom back. If it does stick let me know and I will tell you how to fix imei without having to downgrade.

I can't find a Odin file of lollipop for G900A. In case if it messed up, I won't be able to flash the kernel back.
I was able to find the Upgrade file for the lollipop but require me to flash another file first. Found some instructions on xda.

Our problem seems to be NO DM COM PORT.. Not root.. Assume we can root it, how do we fix IMEI without the com ports enabled?

it would hook up to the UART cable on the box if OB detects it, I tried it with a note 3 and it didn't work, you can try your luck though

I am not sure if the hidden service menu is available on at&t s5 on lollipop. Even if it was you would still have an issue. If you cant root the phone you will not be able to write the qcn back to phone and you will have new imei but no signal.

I'm seeing about 10-20 % of the phones i'm repairng requiring qcn to fix the network. most works fine.. even LTE.. and about 50% of them, I will get 4G, and will require a qcn to fix the LTE.. for example the ATT Note 4, without QCN, i will get 4G, qcn will fix it to LTE.

i also saw a post on the z3x forum,. they say to enable the com ports, you all you need to do it go to recovery mode, select enable cp logging.. that will enable the com ports,, I do not have a samsung with 5.0 installed now.. can someone with a samsung s5 or similair with firmware 5.0 installed confirm this?

Correct me if I'm wrong.. i don't think root is required to write the qcn.

Yeah, you are correct. Was thinking of something else. If you can wipe the efs without root you will be able to write the cert via UART and qcn via usb. There are other tools that will allow you to wipe the s5 efs via download mode. So once you wipe efs via download just write cert via UART and write qcn back using USB. No need to downgrade then.

i had been searching a way to wipe efs using altenative ways other than root and wipe efs with the OP box. because of certain root method, sometime it does not wipe in the first 75 times! i have seem others putting the phone in download mode and flash a file, then poof, imei is gone. i search the forum for this. I see people mentioning this, but no files or confirmations....

you got any ideas?
