Some units only require pressing <enter> after password, some require pressing <ctrl>+<enter> after password and some require holding down <ctrl> while pressing <enter> once or twice. Member: 1901714 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | dell precision m6500 unlock problem Hello all, I have a problem that I can't resolve,now 1 month  My laptop is a dell precision m6500 locked by a bios password (I think) service tag is: 38Q2YP1-2A7B I tried the dell software that I found this site: Dogbert's Blog: BIOS Password Backdoors in Laptops and I found several passwords: Dell hdd serial number by old : nnnnn1rn Dell by serial number : c56QMp6H Dell hdd serial number by new : g0fj4i8s 28y2cvav 1y41Ws92QOO1VdC4 t95hnf5e I tried this one because I bought a code on ebay to see if the problem came from the software: qwerty: c56QMp6Hm06n1ehc azerty : c(-AMp-Hmà-n&ehc I then tested with ENTER or CTRL + ENTER and always wrong password Last solution disassembled the PC to locate the eeprom but I can not find 24C02? i find on google that I must make a short circuit?
