Htc One x strange backlight problem - GSM-Forum

Hey guys,

This is my first post on this forum. I have been reading a lot here and I find the information posted here very useful. I have a repair shop in Sydney, Australia.

Hope you guys can help me. A customer came to the shop with a cracked touch screen on a HTC One X and the backlight was working fine. I have worked on htc one x a lot of times. I took the motherboard out and tested a new LCD/touch assembly without replacing the cracked screen to make sure the new LCD/touch was working. When I did test it the backlight was working fine again. Then I went and replaced the touch/LCD and when I closed the phone to test the screen again there was no backlight.. I have tried other LCD/touch screens and backlight is still not working. How could I fix this problems?

replace the inductor and coil next to the display ic. It willbe solved.

Managed to fix it by replacing the 220 coil by 2r2 coil on one x from an iPhone logic board

the back side, next to the Display IC, there are inductor and coil in the central area.

here is pcd layout u can edit it where to make change and post it

Please do one by one! Your problem will be solved.
P.S. the mother board of One X is different with One XL. This Solution is for HTC ONE X ONLY!

Replace the coil with an inscription 220 with the coil from SE W880 with an inscription 220! To me helped!

Today I replaced the "220" coil with a "2R2" coil from an Iphone 3G like IT1989 said and IT WORKED too :-D

Have a trouble with replacing the coil. When soldering the coil accidentally have been unsoldered a capacitor.

Later, trying to solder the capacitor has finally lost it. Who can help identify capacitor?
