Before you do D820 IMEI repair (READ)

I just wanted to share some information and hopefully you can help. I recently did an IMEI repair on a Nexus 5. It does not work because it has no service. The octopus team knows this but I also tried to backup the NV Items with QPST on a good Nexus 5 and it would not allow it unless I had an SPC Code. THIS IS A GSM N5 not a Sprint one. I then tried to do a backup with QPST on the Nexus 5 I used on the Octopus box. This backup was Allowed so I am wondering if by using the box or modifying the D820 if it trips a Security Flag ( remember SPC code ) and that is blocking service.

If you have a BAD Nexus 5 blacklisted IMEI can you try to backup with QPST ( OR PRIVATE MESSAGE ME ) so I can help you. I am really curious if Google has this in place which is causing All Nexus 5 IMEI repairs to fail.

Thanks

Yes, after of repairing IMEI, 3G/4G network will be not available. Currently no solution how to fix 3G/4G network for such devices. To return the device to the previous state, You should write backups of security and NVM, which the Software has created before performing the Repair IMEI operation.

returning to previous state means a non working IMEI = non working phone = no fix for clients.

any ETA on support? i see posts dating back to Feb 2014 about same issue.

the 2 LG D820 devices i have from client both dont connect at all, no signal even on 2G. (but can search network).

Then write any other working IMEI, 2G network should be available.

For some devices the "Repair 3G/4G" operation works, for some devices - doesn't work. To know, whether solution works with your device, You should try to perform the Repair 3G/4G operation and check 3G/4G network. Currently not exist full solution for all devices.
