    need help to convert t226 to t230


    i've succes in converting t226 to t230 (software) but no signal i need help to know which filter's i have to change to have a good network in this mobile

    You will need to rebuild the bandlock but it still might not work as there are hardware differences. I have heard of people taking parts from other phones to modify it and make it work though...

    the 226 is 850/1900 mhz and the 230 900/1800mhz, the hardware is different too not just the software, the higher or lower frequency is disabled to pass with special filters, capacitors, resistors etc, they must have exact and correct values, so only one specific section of the frequency can pass. you need to do some special modification on the board, to get this conversion done correctly. And even if u get the modification done it wont work as good as the original. usually these mod boards have very bad reception and transmition, and only work close to the tower where the signal is very strong.

    it cant be done as mrfixit said this two phones work in different frequencies but if you flash a t226 with t230 gdfs it will say t230in each part of the phone

    You can change the phone type descriptor with Fighter and get it to say T985 if you want... I believe his point was to make it work on T230's frequencies, and we have established that software alone can not do this.
