Not all phones reply to phone information request command.
Try to perform any action, like S-OFF and check the result.
Also, you can try to open Control panel (windows) -> Modems, select Qualcomm modem, and try to do diagnostics, to see if you get a reply.
If you do not get a reply - it's a drivers issue.

i cannot get drivers to install. software run as administrator, switch to model mode ran as first and only command. the phone is now in model mode(fastboot frozen) and shows up in device manager as

Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM

and

Qualcomm HS-USB Modem 9002

but will not show up as a com port,so i cannot connect the software to it. i have tried manually deleting drivers and reinstalling, pointing to the qhusb file. i get a "driver is not instended for this platform" error message. unplugging and replugging the phone in this mode,it tries to install the drivers and gives a "drivers not successfully installed" error

using windows 7 32 bit,and version 1.16 of clip software. any ideas?

phone is an old htc chacha i am just trying to make the process work.
