Anyone have a patched .inf for the broadcomm generic with VID_0A5C&PID_200A.

What's up with the SUSPENDUSB setting in the ver. 4 INF?

Widcomm 4.0.1.2101 And Older Drivers

I HAVE A ISSC BT DONGLE WITH1.2 firmware.. i tried to install the legendary 4.0.1.2101 and patched it with ..the files provided by byllix.

the ISSC dongle could not be recognized by windows and the new btwusb.inf ..

when i redirected to the older version of the btwusb.inf (1.4.3.4) it works !!

will there be any problem in doing so ? i tried to add my vid and pid to the new btwusb.inf but all in vain..

now the 4.0.1.2101 is working well with my dongle after using the older btwusb.inf(1.4.3.4)

is there any problem in using the older version driver with 4.0.1.2101 ????/

pl reply.............

Hey guys, I just installed the *patched* widcomm software provided by int03h over at
http://*******.com/c55mx
Installed it without a hitch, and ran fine after telling windows which driver to use (more on this at the end). It detected the usb dongle and ran fine... the first time. After unplugging the device, windows detects it and the 'hardware' tab on the Bluetooth Advanced Configuration(right click BT icon, then advanced configuration) says the device has started, but i suffer the same problem as joselyn (No local bluetooth device detected)

I ran a few searches for the "btneighbourhood.dll", but in all of them the file is spelled "btneighborhood.dll" which is the way it should be. Looking around for an answer, this is the best chance I've got. I'm still working on it, but it'd be helpful to let others know of the problem. Anyone got any ideas?

finally got this to work!

Computer: HP NC6000 notebook with integrated bluetooth
BT Device: Toshiba Audio Headphones with Bluetooth technology

I could not get the patched version to work, even with renaming btneighbourhood.dll to btneighborhood.dll. I've actually been trying a ton of different methods of doing this, but would always end up with the "No local bluetooth device detected" using anything except the HP supplied drivers, which do not support the headphones.

Finally, I uninstalled everything, deleted the c:\Program Files\WIDCOMM folder, renamed all of the bt files in c:\windows\system32, and the bt files in c:\windows\system32\drivers.
Turned off the bluetooth device (actually this was done during the uninstall process)
Restarted the computer.
Ran the original 4.0.1.2101 (NOT a patched version).
Left the bluetooth off and clicked "Cancel" to install the driver without it on during the install process.
I did not have the processes to kill in task manager, but I still copied the patched files provided at the beginning of this thread to the appropriate directories. However, the wbtapi.dll would not copy until I renamed the version that was in the c:\windows\system32 directory.
Restarted the computer and turned on the bluetooth.
Not getting the no local bluetooth error, this is getting exciting!
Paired the headphones.
Now I actually have a service to choose! They work great

:p

Ended up installing widcomm 4.0.1.700 drivers right after posting my reply. As of now, bluetooth IS working with no problems, and i'm going to hold off installing 4.0.1.2101... for now.

Now, any idea when a new version might be coming out?

bluetooth headset on dell latitude D505

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been reading this thread with much interest.
I have been trying to get any bluetooth headset to work with my dell latitude D505 laptop built in truemobile bluetooth card.
I have installed the latest drivers from dell which install the widcomm 3.0.1.804 drivers. All the headsets that I have tested connect fine and the sound to the earpiece is perfect everytime. The microphone will always work fine the first time. If I however disconnect and then reconnect the headset the microphone then just makes a loud static like sound. If I disconnect and reconnect again the microphone works fine.
I think this is a bug in the widcomm drivers as I have tested the same headsets (latest = bluetrek G2) with another pc using a linksys usb bluetooth module which installs the widcomm 1.4.2.8 driver and get the same problem.
I have tested these headsets with a dell 610 laptop that comes installed with a toshiba bluetooth stack. This works perfectly everytime.
Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know if the latest widcomm drivers (4.0.1.2101) available on this forum (patched) works.
I have tried to install this patched latest version available here but have not been able to get it installed. (message says there is no valid bluetooth drivers to upgrade and defaults back the the terrible microsoft drivers)
I would really like to know if anyone else has had this problem with widcomm and if so how does one solve it.
btw my bluetooth radio properties are
USB\VID_413C&PID_8000\5&90F29C5&0&2

Thanks so much.
Rory.

Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this forum. I have previously been reading but got my questions answered from previous posts. This time however I cannot seem to find the answer I'm looking for in previous posts.

I have installed the 2101 WIDCOMM driver on my HP TC1100 and everything has worked fine. I have confirmed that the driver is actually installed and bluetooth is working properly. However, I cannot seem to find the added profile for A2DP. Is this supposed to be visible in the profile list or is it somehow embedded in the headset profile? I haven't yet bought the HP Stereo Headset and wanted to check this before I go through with the purchase.

Thanks in advance,
Raven
