Question Nokia 6300

Hello,

I am new around here...and I have a question...I am the proud owner of a Nokia 6300 ..very well taken care off...but I am a little "bored" of the java platform that this phone has enhanced. And I was wondering...I talked to a friend that is,well, handy when it comes to cell phones...and he told me that my nokia might support Symbian OS.Now I turned to outside help.I am asking you the same question.Does my phone support Symbian OS and...if so,is there a site where I can buy/download the Symbian Soft (S60 platform) so I can install it on my nokia 6300?

Talking

sorry, what u talk about is the operating system,,,
you cannot change the operating system,,,u can flash ur phone, either update or even downgrade the software, but the same OS you will still have.
ur 6300 will play neally all .jar games/apps,even .swf, but not .sis or .sisx,
the symbian os mob--ie.smartphones--,(example..n95,n73,etc etc)will play them all normally, but the issue then is being able to sign those files so that they install.(can be done).and they prone to freeze, crash, get viruses,etc..but i not knocking the symbian os espcially nokias, they are very good phones.
but to ans your question,6300 is not a symbian os,
but i maybe corrected

Hmm...the answer I was expecting. But you got it a bit wrong.I would accept to change my curent OS.The question is..can I replace my current OS with the Symbian one? Is my phone compatible with the Symbian OS?
