hi i was just wondering what the terms

reflow
rehot
reball

all mean and how to perform one of these on say the cobba of a nokia phone?

what tools do u need?

experience?

Reflow and rehot mean ....to heat the component/device to a temperature where the solder melts....and cools down again once you remove the heat source....so that all loose connections are eliminated...

Reball means to re-make the solder balls under the BGA (Ball Grid Array)IC's that are installed in most phones available ...reballing involves...removal of the old solder balls under the BGA and installation of new balls with the help of a BGA reballing KIT....it sure sounds easy .....but doing it is a different thing ....and needs a lot of practice.

You need a HOT AIT STATION....and other tools ...like a soldering station ....and other hand tools

please let me know,

if i have to change a new cobba then should i have to make new balls too or i can just remove the old and put the new one in it...?

and please let me know how to solder the new cobba?

i have SMD REWORK Station, and soldering iron but not BGA Reballing kit..
