Code Reader does not works with USB cable? - GSM-Forum

I tryed to use the code reader (all panasonic Code reader from www.spunlock.com) and allways got the message
....TIME OUT! I`m using winXP and USB cable on com3 (have set in program also) Any suggestion? Should i have to cover the 4&10 pins? (tryed booth, coverd and uncoverd) Am i using the good software?? If not, where can i find another one? Can anyone send an email with a link to me? Thanks

you MUST use com 1!! just overwrite the settings on your PC

Not 100% sure but doubt USB will support sw like com port 1 thru data cable.

I know of people who have no com port 1 on recent laptops, and they get round the problem by using a pcma card adaptor, the pcma apparently does support the various sw.

Will be interested in whether you sort your problem out.

Just a short question. Am i able to lock my phone again?

Yes, if the phone was locked once, you can relock it. Just enter 52824 menu menu and select the locks you want to close. It will then ask you for the lock codes - you can enter anything you want, it doesn't have to be the same as the ones originally set on the phone.

This won't work for phones that were shipped from the factory without any locks on them - you can display the menu, but the "lock" option is not available.
