Member: 1730325 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Unseen Long screw damage. Tried this on an iPhone 6 but no luck (both IC replacement and jumper), then, somewhere else I saw other "version" of the jump and tried it but still no camera. After several software attempts with a new IC, I ended up with a death phone only detected in DFU and won't even start flashing with iTunes... 1-2 3-4 I jumped 1 ->2 instead of the classic 2->4 Pretty sure saw someone succeeding with this somewhere online After some thorough microscope examination, I noticed long screw damage (not guilty) on the screw hole right below my working area :/ Any ideas on what actually killed the phone? Was it a stupid idea to try to jump the other way? or was this "long screw" damage that mainly killed the phone after software. I'm 99% sure this was also the main cause of the camera failure... My options are: Scratching the board and try to repair the other persons mess Replacing a power IC that might have shorted. I can achieve both repairs myself, but if some other IC replacement is necessary I wouldn't know where to start :C Last edited by psydry; 07-14-2016 at 04:57.
