Here are some findouts on the iPhone 3GS which is shorting: Started testing by giving 1.5V and slowly rised up Voltage to 3.5V and maximum 1A. 1.5V consumes 0.35A 2.V consumes 0.7A 2.5V consumes 0.99A Obviosuly I couldn't go higher than 2.5V as the power supply will reduce voltage because of current overload. The phone does not power on obviously since vbat and gnd are shorting. Attachment 1 shows the location where at 2.5V I couldn't stand the heat on my finger. |
