Just try write boot.bin into Rom2 with "DCC Read/Write" page

can these two chips be exchanged?

I Think Not,But You can test..
i did before,but never have 16GB,But 8or4GB not work,but 4or8 work on i9100g but can't make correct partition,so phone never have imei and baseband,also mass storage,,,of course i was repair mass storage,but efs problem still here
