Few questions about how to use SL-Box

Hi, i just purchased the SL Box. I own a business and purchased it on the recommendation of a friend who is also in the same business and has purchased this box as well. Primarily right now my goal is to unlock Samsung Galaxy S3 phones. My buddy told me that in order to unlock these phones I first have to root them using the SL box software. I found the post that tells you and gives you access to the root file that I have to apply for the phone. But that post lacks further instructions and how-to. Can someone point me to maybe some sort of an owners manual or some sort of a guy that I can follow? Because I am right now kind of lost. I don't know if I have to root only just the S3 phones or other phones as well?

I tried looking on the manufacturers website where they give access to the software. But there is no support section that actually gives you clear-cut instructions on how to use the software or any sorry of tutorials. On the box there are two USB ports, and 1 LAN type port. I am totally oblivious to the fact which USB port or LAN port I need to use in order to unlock a phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I answered you about rooting on your other post.

If you need help make one thread for each problem, with clear title.

About ports on box, never use usb to connect any phone, connect them direct to your pc.

The rj45 port is usefull to unlock some phones with particular cables.

Im trying to unlock the Samsung Galaxy S2 i727, but it says IMEI 00000000000 when i click on phone info, and when i press the unlock button it starts to do its thing, and then it just says restart phone and try again. And when i click on read codes, it says IMEI number not detected. I am using the provided red Micro USB cable with this phone. Am i using the wrong cable?

And if you read right underneath that it says "running temp root: ok". Which means that because there is no root, and the SL-Box is temporarily rooting it to continue the unlocking procedure and it says okay right after meaning that it was done successfully.

Ok it's not that big a deal so if soft doesn't read it correctly.

Anyway, did you root it the correct way with link I gave you ?

In your log, when soft says ok after temp root, that just mean root file were send successfully, not that it work in this android version, that is why soft check root worked and says "not rooted" just after.

DOn't stay stuck at this point.

Root it manually, retry unlock and post log.

You started this thread ten days ago, I think it's time to get a success

Hi, okay what you are saying sounds right. No the phone wasnt mind so unfortuntely i cant root it. But my buddy has a T989 S2, which is already rooted, So i will try it on that and post the results. And as far as unlocking an S3 goes. I have another S3 which is already rooted. So with that one i just connect it to the SL box and press unlock right?

No, i can't do that. It was a customers phone. He can't lose all his information just to unlock. This is ridiculous, i mean rooted or not this box should be able to unlock. I am returning it. What a piece of ****! I ordered the NSPro box, i read some reviews on it, and it unlocks all models no-root required. For unlocking S3 i can understand you need root. And i supplied it with a rooted phone, and now damn error 1005. I can understand all this hassle if i had to root and software unlock the phone, but the whole point of an unlock box is the hassle free connect and unlock aspect. Hell with SL-Box! Im gonna post my experience review of it on a few websites hoping no-one else will buy it.

Thanks to everyone who spent their time answering my questions and helping me out!
