got the point bro, there's a small differences between old apple.commcenter.plist (ios 6) and the new one (ios 7). there is some line missing, including the text messaging preferences. i wish i can access the carrier.plist and apple.commcenter.plist....

i guess the jailbreak will solved it all....

you'll need access to the root access to change that guess without jailbreak this is the only thing we can do right now. hope evaders team will release the jailbreak soon..

There is no way you can go down to ios 6. Enjoy it dude.

Here's the list for bigger chance to make it work:
- use 64k and below simcard
- ota update, itunes update/restore will update your carrier setting
- never set as a new phone (do not reset all data and setting)
- your luck

From many sprint iphone 5 i tried, mostly unlocked fine (even edge only,no sms outgoing and ussd). Thats my case,result may vary for many reason.
