Member: 2416253 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4,162 | Sprint conversion FAQ This guide will explain you how to use the new "A9 Sprint" conversion feature: WARNING! This procedure will erase your data. We are not responsible for any damage made to the phone during this process! Please make it at your own risk! 1. Set your phone to S-OFF and CID to 11111111 2. Connect XTC 2 Clip to your PC, run XTC 2 Tool and open "Special unlock / IMEI" tab. 3. Select "A9 / A9 Sprint" and check the "Convert Sprint A9 to European A9" checkbox 4. Press "Copy files" 5. Follow the "Step 2." instructions as usual (insert XTC 2 Clip into A9 and reboot to FTM). 6. Now flash this flash file #458831 (download from our support site) 7. Do master reset 8. Done. Wait for the phone to boot up. WARNING! To receive OTA you should change CID to original, for example BS__US001 Last edited by xtc2clip; 01-16-2017 at 13:22. |

I tried the process above for the A9 (with BS_US001 M9 firmware) and after the install the baseband is lost and so is the IMEI. This is easily restored with Sprint firmware though. Hope that helps and looks forward to further development Thanks

After the conversion the phone will behave like normal, so you should be able to receive & install OTA. S-OFF does not usually prevent from receiving OTA, so no need to set S-ON.

From our point of view after conversion you should be able to get and install OTA with no problem.
