HWK don't work with some boxes??? - GSM-Forum

I have 3 boxes here, original tornado with support on usfxsupport site, after put HWK inside module not found. HWK is 100% ok....

any solution pls...

How you know HWK is 100%, you test with another box?

of course, I was sent You message on PM some days ago....

HWK module is 100% works with another box (twister, tornado), but with some tornado (3 pcs I have here) don't work.

Ok, so maybe there is broken lines from the 16 lines from 16 pin header, you can compare with another box and check for this?

Also please check the DCD line on the connector (pin 3?), it goes directly to the Xilinx.
This must be ON THE GROUND! So try to get a multimeter and measure this line. If you measure something (i.e. non zero) on the DCD line while the HWK is attached, then
there is something wrong. If DCD is on the ground, then try to measure pin 19 of the FTDI chip (it is also the DCD). Surely you must measure GND there as well!

I was check all , and all looks fine... all lines are mensured and I can't find any bug.

maybe any scheme for make some changes?

Also I changed full module in box from 100% correct box and no result too.

Please try to execute all 3 application, i.e. Nokia, Samsung and SonyEriccson as
well. They are different in terms of how they communicate towards the HWK.

WOW. HWK only works with V2.6 and above.
Don't you have a question about upgrading your box when you try to connect??
You must upgrade to 2.6

Well then you must do the following.
1. Try to find out who is your reseller, since you will need .FBIs (i.e. reactivating
your box). If you do not know who is your reseller, or you cannot reach your
reseller, DO NOT DO THIS REACTIVATION OTHERWISE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
USE YOUR BOX!
2. Connect with 1.3k
3. Click Upgrade firmware
4. Try to get a REQ.FBI from somewhere (twister support area for example)
5. Upload REQ.FBI to your box, it will automatically upgrade the firmware of the box
to 2.6
6. Send the generated .REQ file (0000XXXX.REQ, where XXXX is your serial number)
to your reseller so that he can generate you a reply .FBI file
7. Connect again
8. Click on upgrade firmware
9. Select the generated 0000XXXX.FBI file

Hopefully your box shall be working from now on with your HWKs

thx for info, I know who is reseller and I know how to make update, but I did not know, that HWK works only on 2.6 and above...
